Pantry Organization

Do you love a well organized space to work in the kitchen? Life is often hectic enough and the last thing I need to face when cooking a meal is searching through all the cabinets and bags looking for what I need. I recently shared our new kitchen pantry here and thought I would answer some of the most common questions I get about this space.

The best part of our pantry is all the jars. I purchased my jars and then began placing all our dry ingredients in each one and then labeled the jars. I purchase most of our dry goods from a local health food store and I just purchase the amount that I need to fill my jars. This cuts down on the amount of boxes and bags that I have to find a place to store and this also means that we have fresh dry ingredients. So check around to see if you have a local store that sells from bulk that allows you to purchase only the amount that you need. If your local to Springfield, MO then I highly recommend Mama Jeans. They carry everything!

My jars have seals and that helps to keep all the ingredients fresh. It can seem like a pricy investment to purchase them at once but if you slowly collect them over time then your investing in an item that not only functions well but looks beautiful. I love going into the kitchen to cook and knowing that everything I need is easily available to reach and I won't spend time digging through the pantry looking for what I need.

There are still several things that I would love to add to our pantry shelves. One of them being wire baskets. I always have sweet potatoes or onions that could easily be stored in baskets and be within easy reach. This also means having cleared off counters and I love a clean space to work in.  As for the labels I purchased them from Hobby Lobby in the scrapbook section. They are plain brown labels that I hand wrote the dry good product on. Etsy is also a great place to look if you want some that are premade.

So I have decided to link up some products that help in organizing a beautiful pantry. If you purchase through these links I do make a small commission. Happy Shopping!

This galvanized basket would be perfect for hanging on the wall to store vegetables in. Several of these lined up would be beautiful together and easy to store sweet potatoes, onions, garlic, tomatoes or whatever other vegetables your family uses.
